Psychotherapist
Hello, I'm Amie Hamnett, an MBACP Registered Counsellor and founder of Future Aims Therapy. I provide compassionate online counselling for adults and couples across the UK, offering a confidential space where you can explore life's challenges at your own pace. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, grieving or struggling within your relationships, you don't have to face it alone.
I believe that therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who genuinely listens rather than someone who tells you what to do. My aim is to create a safe, supportive relationship where you feel accepted without judgement and empowered to understand yourself more deeply.
Alongside my clinical experience, I've supported clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, domestic abuse recovery, low self-esteem, burnout and relationship difficulties. Every person arrives with a unique story, and I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
My practice is grounded in person-centred counselling, meaning I work collaboratively with you and believe you are the expert in your own life. I integrate evidence-informed therapeutic techniques where appropriate while remaining compassionate, relational and led by your goals.
I offer online therapy because it provides flexibility and accessibility, allowing you to attend sessions from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Sessions are available for both individuals (50 minutes) and couples (60 minutes).
