THERAPIST
Life is inevitably filled with many challenges and transitions and it’s not unusual to become overwhelmed. We can easily struggle with who we are and what we want from life. Maybe you're experiencing the breakdown of a relationship with a loved one, you’ve lost your job, just become a parent, received a diagnosis, started university, or maybe you’re just struggling with the idea of making a change in your life. Therapy can help you understand yourself better so that you can confidently adjust to change, set boundaries, navigate relationships, implement coping strategies & give yourself grace if you stumble.
Originally from the United States of America, I have spent the last three years living in the UK while undertaking my Doctor of Counselling Psychology course which I will qualify from this fall of 2024. I have studied and worked in the mental health field for the last ten years of my life and have gained ample theoretical and practical knowledge working predominately with adults 18+. I am passionate about the positive impact therapy can have on our lives when we are able to develop a strong therapeutic relationship and that is what I hope to facilitate with each of my clients.
I am an integrative practitioner, meaning I lean on and merge varying therapeutic modalities such psychodynamic, CBT, and systemic theories. Therapy should be tailored around your specific needs and what it is you are hoping to gain or explore. I offer open-ended therapy sessions with interval reviews on the work we’re doing together.
