About me

Hi, I'm Catherine a compassionate, warm and friendly therapist trained after experiencing the power of the therapeutic relationship. I have undergone extensive trainings since and continues to build my practice in exploring the many different ways of helping people. I always use a person centred approach and has the skill to utilise other modalities if needed. I have experience in working with Complex PTSD and suicidality, through to depression and negative thinking patterns. Most recently I have trained in Non-Violent Resistance, a specialist technique to empower parents in a child on parent abusive relationship. I have also completed BSc (Hons) Psychology and was awarded a First Class Degree, and am exploring energy work being a qualified Reiki practitioner. I am also an Accredited Children & Young Persons Counsellor, allowing the ability to offer tailored specialist care to 11-25s.

My approach

I use a trauma‑informed, integrative approach that blends evidence‑based psychotherapy with creative, somatic, and nature‑connected techniques. Work is collaborative and goal‑focused: we assess your needs together, co‑create a plan, and use practical tools you can apply between sessions. Therapy may include talking, grounding and regulation practices, breath work, creative exercises, cognitive homework, family‑focused interventions and others when appropriate.
