About me

I believe awareness is often the starting point for change. Together, we can explore how your past may be connected to what you’re experiencing now, and make sense of the thoughts, feelings and patterns that can seem confusing or difficult to change. I am gentle but honest, and while I will never judge you, I will challenge you and encourage you to look at things from a different perspective where helpful.

I specialise in supporting adults who want to better understand themselves, overcome personal and relationship challenges, and live with greater clarity and confidence. I practice integratively, allowing us to tailor the work to your unique needs and experiences.

My approach

My approach is deeply relational, drawing primarily on Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Existential theories alongside relational CBT and attachment-focused EMDR therapy. Above all, it is founded on empathy, respect, and collaboration, ensuring that you feel heard and understood.

Our therapeutic relationship is the most important part of our work together, built on trust, compassion, and shared commitment to your growth. It is underpinned by my solid educational foundation, continuous professional development, and exceptional standards of care and ethical practice as a UKCP registered and accredited practitioner.

Location

The East Building, Holland Court, The Close, Norwich NR1 4DY

Education

I hold a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I'm also a fully qualified EMDR Therapist, member of EMDR Association UK, and a registered and accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). This accreditation reflects the high standards that I meet in training, professional experience, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.

As an EMDR therapist, I integrate EMDR into my relational approach to psychotherapy. EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that can be highly effective for trauma, anxiety, distressing memories, negative self-beliefs and other difficulties where experiences remain psychologically "stuck."

In addition to my core qualifications, I have undertaken additional training in Attachment-Focused EMDR, Flash therapy, person-centred counselling, autism, and nutrition and health, and I also have a degree in French. I engage in regular ongoing clinical supervision and EMDR consultation.
