Whether it be for short term solution focused work or longer term depth therapy, my aim is to promote the self-compassion, understanding and acceptance you will need for a healthy, meaningful, and flourishing life.
I have worked in a variety of different settings including a secondary care psychiatric hospital in Boston, USA and a UK private fostering agency. I have been offering private therapy to individuals, couples & families at The Clearing for over 10 years. During this time I have supported people to overcome a wide range of difficulties from depression & anxiety, through to longstanding eating disorders & relationship issues.
I have particular expertise in working with neurodiversity issues including autism, ADHD and related learning differences and challenges, trauma, self-harm, fertility (infertility) issues and support around miscarriages, women’s health, bereavement and loss, and anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties and finding meaning and purpose in life, generally.
I have a unique affinity with clients who work in University settings having worked with many through the years, who ‘find’ me and like to work with me! I have been treating many kinds of people, from all kinds of backgrounds, for many years, and I have a great deal of knowledge and experience in all facets of mental health.
