About me

I'm Emily, a BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist supporting women through the highs and lows of motherhood.

As a mum to two young children and a therapist, I know how challenging the transition to motherhood can be, and this is where my passion for maternal mental health started. I also don't believe there's enough support out there for women facing these challenges, and I want to help change that.

Before I became a therapist I worked in a corporate environment, so I also bring experience of balancing motherhood and returning to work.

Behind all my work is the belief that women deserve a space to talk and explore their feelings, whatever those may be. There's no right or wrong way to feel , we'll work collaboratively, so our sessions give you what you need.

My approach

I’m an integrative therapist, with training that includes person-centred and psychodynamic approaches. What this really means is that I’ll meet you where you are, and together we can find what works best for you.

You can bring whatever you like to your sessions with me, I have experience working with women at all stages of motherhood from conception and birth through the postnatal period and early childhood right up to children leaving home. All of these transitions shape us differently and can bring up difficult thoughts and feelings. Therapy is an opportunity to explore these feelings in a genuine and empathetic environment.
