Emma Cosslett

Creative psychotherapist

Hi, my name is Emma and I have been practicing for over four years.
I have worked with primary-aged children within schools across Liverpool, and I did my training with adults in a charity for cancer support.
I am open to working with all ages, and if I don't feel I am the right fit for you then I will try and signpost you to relevant support.

About me

I am a person-centered therapist, which means that I believe you know yourself best and we can work together to help you figure things out.

I believe in neuro-affirmative care and whether you have a diagnosis or not, I will try and accommodate any reasonable adjustments the best that I can.

My approach

I am trained in creative methods which means that if you would like to draw, act out or even play a board game to help your process, then we can. I will never force you to work creatively if this is not something you are comfortable with. Person-Centred is about following your lead. I may suggest ideas where appropriate, but I can’t tell you what to do.

Education

*MSC in Psychotherapy and Counselling – Contemporary Creative Approaches
*Postgraduate degree in Specialist Clinical Practice: Learning Disabilities and Autism – for Children and Young People
