Trauma Counsellor
My main modality is The Richards Trauma Process, (TRTP) dynamic re-imagining... and is a fast growing modality which has been formed in Australia about 10 years ago...
It does not retraumatise clients, but helps them to understand how to unlock unconscious core beliefs and to turn off the video loops in their heads.
I have been a nurse for over 40 years, I have worked and trained in the UK, Hong Kong, Pakistan and Australia... now I am back in the UK, I live in Suffolk and do a lot of my work online... In Hong Kong I lived and worked in a refugee camp for 4 years, and also helped with a detox programme run by St Stephens Society.
I am also a mother to 3 children and a grandmother to two super grandkids. One lives in Australia and the other one is here in the UK
I live in Suffolk where besides counselling, I am often out for walks in the countryside and on the beach with my German Shepherd dog... who loves to chase a ball!
I also volunteer at the local charity shop, at the Food Bank and help to run an Arts Society as their programme secretary! So i keep busy and keep learning more all the time!
I like to think that I am easy to talk to , with no judgement or preconceived ideas! I am open and friendly, and usually people find me very approachable.
I am still learning, and helping in my local community. I love the power of positivity... and encourage my clients to have a positive mindset.
