Psychotherapist & Counsellor
My name is Haema. I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist working with individuals and relationships.
I am based in central London and I also work online. Our work begins with a relaxed 20 to 30 minute, no obligation consultation, either online, on the phone or in person. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and get a sense of whether we’re a good fit. If we both feel comfortable moving forward, we’ll schedule regular sessions, typically on a weekly basis. We will schedule regular reviews to make sure we are on the right path for you.
I was a family lawyer, before I transitioned to become a family mediator. Mediation work showed me the power of empathy, open conversation, and finding common ground. This led me to further train in psychotherapy, particularly in relationship therapy, qualifying as a psychotherapist & counsellor in 2022, working with individuals and relationships.
I chose to undertake further learning and am now in my final year of training in psychosexual and relationship therapy. I work closely with a professional supervisor when doing this work.
If you're here looking for a deeper understanding of yourself or seeking self-awareness and change, you're in the right place.
I see my role as a guide through whatever troubles you at this juncture. Together we will explore your thoughts and feelings to help gain insight into your patterns of behaviour. With luck and a good wind behind us, you may uncover a deeper understanding of yourself from which to springboard your own growth and change.
My approach is relational, integrative and holistic, working with individuals and all types of relationships, couples, polycules and other family dynamics.
If it’s a non-romantic connection that’s causing tension and distress- such as business partners, work colleagues and friends- then therapy may be the place to explore what’s causing the shift in your dynamic with each other.
I work with people from all backgrounds and communities and am particularly committed to supporting the LGBTQI+ community.
