ND- Affirming Therapeutic Counsellor

Welcome, I’m Jo and I’m really glad you’re here.

You don’t have to face things alone. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not quite yourself, I offer warm, trauma-informed counselling for adults (18+): a safe, supportive space to explore what’s going on for you, without judgment.

You can work with me in person in Banbury or online from anywhere in the UK, whatever feels most comfortable for you.

My counselling style is grounded in person-centred values, led by your pace, with a focus on safety, empathy, and genuine connection. While this forms the heart of my work, I also draw from other approaches when helpful, including attachment theory, psychoeducation and relational ways of working. I believe therapy should adapt to fit you, not the other way around.

I’m a neurodivergent-affirming therapist, which means I welcome and respect all ways of thinking, feeling, sensing, and being. Whether you identify as neurodivergent or are exploring that possibility, you’ll be met with openness and care.

Together, we might explore how past experiences show up in the present, look at patterns, or begin to rebuild trust in yourself and others. These insights can support emotional regulation, increase self-awareness, and help you reconnect with who you are.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, low self-worth, burnout, or the impact of trauma, you're welcome here, just as you are.

Counselling isn’t about fixing you. It’s about creating space for you to be seen, heard, and supported.

Take care,
Jo
