Counsellor
I help young adults who feel like they have to do it all themselves. Whether you feel like you're stuck, falling behind, or you feel you're lost amidst everything that's going on, reach out and we'll figure it out together.
You may feel like you’re stuck, not keeping up, or that you’re struggling to figure out who you are amidst it all. I understand that the transition to adulthood can be a challenging one, but you don’t have to figure it out alone.
People may be asking you to have everything figured out but I offer you a safe space to just be you, without fear of judgement, where you can figure out who you are, what you want, and how to get there.
My name is Josh and I'm a qualified counsellor based in York. I'm ready to provide you with a safe, understanding, and confidential space for you to unpack and explore whatever it is you would like to bring. I know that counselling can sometimes feel intimidating, and that's why I offer a free 20 minute chat for us to get to know each other as well as giving you time to ask any questions you might have about the process.
I work in what's known as a person-centred way, which simply means we’ll work in a way that is unique and most beneficial to you. That may involve talking about how things are for you, or if you can’t find the right words, we can utilise your favourite media or hobbies (music, books, film/tv, games, sports, etc.) to help explore what's going for you at present. You don’t have to know exactly what to say, just come as you are and we’ll figure out the rest together.
