Trainee Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, UKCP, AGIP
Beginning therapy can be a daunting prospect. Sometimes we've put it off for years, or tried it before but feel there's more to explore. Or perhaps coming to it as a reluctant last resort when something painful has happened in our lives. Whatever your route to get here, welcome. As an experienced trainee psychotherapist, I offer a free 15 minute initial conversation to help you work out the next step.
I'm an experienced trainee Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist working in private practice, and at AGIP (the Fairbridge clinic) and icap, (the 'Immigrant Counselling and Psychotherapy' service). All my work is fully supervised and insured and I am a registered trainee member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), whose ethical framework guides my practice.
Prior to this, I had a 25 year career in digital transformation and innovation, as a senior leader in complex organisations. I now offer consultancy, mentoring and leadership development to leaders and organisations in this area, alongside but separately to, my psychotherapy practice.
I work in a psychoanalytic, relational way. That means I think change comes from talking together in a way that pays particular attention to repeating patterns in relationships, and the early experiences that may be shaping them unconsciously.
I usually offer two or three initial sessions for us to explore working together. These allow me to give you my opinion as to whether I can help, and you a chance to see how I work and decide if you would like to enter into therapy with me. I see people once, twice or three times weekly.
