Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist
I offer a space to think together about what is troubling you. We can attend to this and, over time, to patterns in your relationships, and the early experiences that might shape them. To take the next step, arrange an initial consultation where we'll explore what is bringing you to therapy and whether working together is the right fit for you.
I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, and work in private practice in Walthamstow and Archway, as well as at a specialist service working with intergenerational trauma in the Irish community - adults who experienced complex childhood trauma and survivors of institutional abuse.
Beginning therapy can be daunting, and people come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. I won't judge you, and together we can think about what it is that's troubling you and over time understand more about you and how your past might be impacting you now.
I don't pathologise sexual or gender preferences, orientations, and expressions. Nor do I work from normative or reductive views. Instead, I work towards a thoughtful understanding of you as a person. I also pay attention to the real impact on people of systemic inequalities, including race, class, disability, and gender.
1 Fairbridge Road, London N19 3EW
I trained for 8 years, including two foundations (BPF and AGIP) and an advanced and rigorous clinical training at AGIP, including an NHS psychiatric placement. All my work is fully supervised and I am registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I have also had my own substantial therapy, which has been important in both my life and my training.
Before training as a therapist, I had a 25-year career in digital transformation and innovation and was a senior leader in complex organisations. I now offer consultancy, mentoring, and leadership development to leaders and organisations in this area, alongside but separately to my psychotherapy practice.
