About me

Before I'm a therapist, I'm a person and I bring myself into my work. I'm deeply curious and sensitive by nature, and I'm often touched by the stories and the parts of themselves that people choose to share with me. I hold deep respect for the uniqueness of each story, as well as for the shared human themes that run through us all.

As a psychologist (MSc.) and Gestalt therapist (in training), I support people who want to understand themselves better and live in a way that feels more authentic and alive. I’ve worked across public and private mental health settings, and I'm passionate about prevention and understanding how the systems we live in can both nurture and challenge our well-being. My approach is grounded in compassion - for ourselves and for the contexts we find ourselves in.

I was born and raised in Italy to British and Belgian parents, and have lived in several countries, including the UK and the Netherlands. As an expat and third-culture kid (TCK), I understand both the richness and the challenges of navigating different cultures (such as questions of belonging, identity, and loss) and I bring this awareness into my work.

Outside the therapy room, you can find me in nature with my dog, getting paint or glue on my hands for a creative project, and spending time with loved ones, near or far.

My approach

My work is grounded in Gestalt therapy, a relational and experiential approach that focuses on cultivating self-awareness and helps you understand how you experience yourself, others, and the world around you.

Often, challenges come from old patterns that once served us but now hold us back. In our work together, we bring these patterns into awareness and explore new ways of being and relating, supporting a more authentic and integrated sense of self.

WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK WITH ME:
- Sessions are collaborative and we go at your pace
- My role isn't to have the answers but to be a curious, caring and steady presence as you find your own.
- We talk and we might also try things out together (e.g. a grounding practice, a creative exercise, or an experiment with movement or role-play).
- I'll often invite you to notice what's happening for you right now - in your body, your feelings, your thoughts.
- We check in regularly on how the process is feeling and how things are between us.

THEMES
While everyone seeks therapy for different reasons and has a unique process, some themes that emerge in my work with clients include:
- Anxiety & stress
- Feeling stuck or overwhelmed
- Low self-esteem & shame
- Life transitions & loss
- Expat experience
You don't need a clear ‘problem’ to start therapy. Sometimes, a sense that something isn't quite right, or simply wanting to know yourself better, is the place to start.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:
- I offer a free 30-minute introductory call
- I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for people who might otherwise be unable to access therapy. If this feels relevant for you, please feel free to reach out to discuss.
- My work falls outside the Dutch GGZ system: I do not provide diagnoses or medical treatment, and sessions are not covered by health insurance.
