Registered Mental Health Nurse/ EMDR/DBT Therapist
FLOW Mental Health Services has a wealth of knowledge in trauma, mental health and providing bespoke support for adults and young people. We have team of registered mental health professionals who have additional training in therapeutic interventions that experienced in crisis support, treatment and recovery.
We provided 1:1 and group interventions in alternative learning provisions for young people and their parents/carers who have struggled to engage in CAMHS services. We specialize in providing Traveler aware services for Gypsy and Traveling communities facing inequalities in mental health access. We work alongside adults and young people to support mental health and neurodiversity.
We pride ourselves in bringing a trauma informed approach to our service, moving away from 'what's wrong with you?' to 'what happened to you?' and strive to bring a person centered approach to our sessions, that are flexible and meet the needs of the client. We understand mental health is more than a medical model and challenge the perceptions of treating symptoms and disorders by understanding that trauma impacts our world view and sense of safety and that building a sense of psychological safety in ourselves and within our outer world is paramount to recovery. We believe that we cannot 'fix', we can hold safe spaces to unpack your experiences using a strength based approach that empowers you to find your own recovery path.
