I’m Shauntel Morales, an HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist with a Caribbean-American background, bringing a culturally inclusive approach to mental health and well-being. My passion lies in making therapy more accessible, creative, and reflective of the diverse experiences that shape us.
With a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy from Brunel University, I have conducted extensive research on delivering art therapy online and adapting art therapy services across various cultural contexts. This work has deepened my understanding of how identity, personal history, and cultural influences shape mental health—and how creative expression can be a powerful tool for healing, no matter where you are.
I believe therapy should be flexible, culturally aware, and person-centered, allowing for self-exploration in a way that feels natural to you. Whether you express yourself best through words, imagery, movement, or reflection, I tailor my sessions to meet you where you are.
At the heart of my work is creativity, collaboration, and emotional safety. I integrate:
Art-making as a tool for self-discovery – Whether through painting, drawing, collage, or mixed media, art can unlock emotions that are difficult to express with words.
A trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective – I recognize the impact of past experiences while also helping you build on your resilience and inner strengths.
A culturally sensitive lens – As a Caribbean-American therapist, I understand that mental health is deeply tied to personal and cultural identity, and I ensure that therapy reflects your lived experiences.
An interactive and reflective space – Therapy is not just about exploring challenges but also about growth, learning, and finding joy in self-expression. Some sessions may involve structured art-based activities, while others allow for free-flowing creative expression or conversation.
The option for online therapy – My research into digital art therapy allows me to offer engaging and meaningful virtual sessions for those who prefer therapy from the comfort of their own space.
I truly believe that creativity is a universal language of healing—one that is accessible to everyone, regardless of artistic skill. My goal is to help you build confidence, gain self-awareness, and navigate life’s challenges in a way that resonates with you.

I hold a Master of Arts in Art Psychotherapy from Brunel University London, where I conducted extensive research on delivering art therapy online and applying art therapy across diverse cultural contexts. My studies focused on the impact of both digital and traditional art therapy on neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals, allowing me to develop a flexible, inclusive approach to therapeutic practice. During my time at Brunel, I facilitated art therapy interventions in community and clinical settings, gaining hands-on experience in guiding individuals through creative expression as a tool for healing and self-discovery.
Prior to this, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in General Psychology from Richmond International University London, where I explored the effects of art therapy on addiction recovery. My undergraduate studies provided me with a strong foundation in psychological theories, mental health interventions, and expressive arts therapy, equipping me with the knowledge to integrate cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and creative approaches into my work as a therapist.
